01 / OVERVIEW
What is GTA 6?
Grand Theft Auto VI is Rockstar Games’ next mainline Grand Theft Auto game. Its story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in Leonida, including Vice City. Rockstar says an easy score goes wrong and pulls the pair into a criminal conspiracy across the state, forcing them to rely on each other.
Rockstar’s current release material identifies GTA VI as a single-player experience. The announced launch platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are open, and eligible copies can begin preloading at local midnight on November 12, one week before launch.
This hub separates official information from material that remains unannounced. A location shown in a trailer can be described as visible in official footage; that does not make every fan-made map boundary, vehicle name, mission title or gameplay theory official.

GTA 6 is set across Leonida
Vice City is the best-known location, but Rockstar’s official material names several regions across the state.
Official GTA VI artwork and screenshots name Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park. Rockstar has not published a complete official world map with exact region borders or a square-mile measurement.
Community maps can be useful for reconstructing roads and landmarks from official footage, but GTAExplore treats those placements as community estimates unless Rockstar provides the location directly.
